The Australian Silver Kookaburra is the longest running bullion coin program from the Perth Mint in Australia. The front of the Australian Kookaburra coin always depicts a picture of Queen Elizabeth II, the reigning monarch of England.

The reverse of the Australian Kookaburra coin changes each year and always depicts a picture of a Kookaburra, which is native to Australia. Because of the limited production and yearly design change of these coins, they have a higher collectible value than other silver bullion coins.

HISTORY

The Australian Kookaburra is a unique coin that comes from Australia and has been in existence since 1990. Each year the reverse of the coin changes to a different kookaburra design, but the front of the coin is always Queen Elizabeth II.
